Q - What are Trauma/EMT shears ?
A - Based on a scissor, or shearing or materials design, they have blunt tips to prevent cutting of skin, when removing clothing for example as the scene of an accident.
They are also strong enough to cut some coins ! And are used to go through motorcycle leathers.
Cheap, can be single use if needed, some can be autoclaved (cleaned), and there are lots of colours and different sizes on the market.
Remember - Nerve damage can occur in seconds. Always have a safety cutting tool nearby.
